Wi-Hi Renames Basketball Court after Coach Waller

  • Wi-Hi Coach Butch Waller

Wicomico High School honored its long time boys basketball coach Butch Waller on December 6 by re-naming the gymnasium floor as "Butch Waller Court". Waller is the winningest boys basketball coach in Maryland Public Schools history with over 800 career wins. He is in his 53rd season as coach of Tribe Basketball. The night was bittersweet for Coach Waller as he was thinking of his wife Sandy who passed away just weeks before the start of this season.

Here is a video recap of Butch Waller Court and Wi-Hi's opening season win over Cambridge-SD. https://youtu.be/WdYbUaQUWrA
