Parent Message 1-10

Good evening, Clipper families, this is Principal Savage with your weekly message.

We had some first last week as we started the first week of the full day virtual schedule and we put on our first virtual school play.  Thank you to everyone who worked together last week to make everything run as smoothly as possible.  Great job on the drama production!

This week there will be another first as our school competes with the other high schools to show our school spirit.  The school that shows the most spirit wins a sled as a trophy.  We will start off tomorrow with Maryland Monday so encourage your child to wear their Maryland gear during their virtual classes.  You are also welcome to show your JMB spirit by joining in on the fun.  If you coordinate as a family send us a photo, we would love to add it to our post.  Send pictures to and see the attachment for information about each day. At the high school level, we are continuing to prepare for our in-person option slated for Feb 2nd.  We have been attempting to reach out to families we have not heard from but please understand that on January 15th we will be marking those with no response as virtual so we can finalize spacing in the classroom and in the cafeteria.  If you are not sure whether you signed your student up for going to school todays a week (hybrid) or virtual give us a call.  410-677-5141

We know that the pandemic and the closure of schools has made things difficult for students and families.  Students, if you need anything reach out to your guidance counselor.  Parents, if you are concerned about your child and would like someone to reach out to them complete the caregiver referral form in the link in the email and our guidance team will reach out. Our guidance page has lots of resources that we are continuing to add to as new resources become available so check it out.
