Parent Message 3-19
Good evening, Clipper families. This is Principal Savage with your weekly message.
As you may already know, on Friday the CDC updated its physical distancing guidelines for children in schools from 6 feet to 3 feet in most situations. We are awaiting the exact details of this guidance - including how these new guidelines impact classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, buses, and other areas - please know that Wicomico County Public Schools will share more information next week on how this will work for our students and staff. Until then we will stay the course, and our school will continue to work with families that wish to have their student engaged in hybrid instruction.
As we look toward the end of this semesters, which ends on April 8th, scheduling for next year is ramping up. We are excited to announce that on Thursday of next week during 3rd period, JMB 9th, 10th and 11th grade students will be participating in Stop Drop and Schedule. This will be for our in-person students as well as our virtual students. During their third period class, students will be shown a video, created by guidance, about scheduling and then will have the opportunity to select courses for next year. To help prepare the link to the course catalog is in the email as well as a few videos for some special opportunities in the county. Directions are also attached so you can review your students requests once they participate in Stop Drop and Schedule.
