4-27 Senior Message
Good morning Senior Clipper families. This is Principal Savage with a message this week specifically for you.
First, I would like to say that there is a heartfelt understanding and sympathy in our entire school community for seniors as they end their senior year unlike any other before them.
With that in mind, we are brainstorming ways to do things to honor them while keeping them safe.
What I do know is right now is…..
Seniors need to work hard to get a “Pass” for the 4th term. Even if students did not do well in the other terms now is the time to get that “Pass.”
Seniors only have two more rounds of work. They can access the digital work online starting today. Packet pick-up and laptop distribution take place today at the school from 3-5 and tomorrow from 9-11. Then the last round for seniors will start on May 11th.
Cap and Gown distribution will take place at the school on May 11th from 3-5.
We will be doing a senior showcase on our Facebook page. The information needed is attached. Our senior advisors are coordinating that effort and we appreciate them for taking on the senior showcase. Please follow the directions for providing information for the showcase in the attachment and email information to Mrs. Schuchart. aschucha@wcboe.org
If you ordered items from Jostens (other than the cap and gown) that should have been delivered to your home by Jostens.
We will be doing some type of graduation. We are still working out the details about how, when, and ways students can be involved. More information to come as I have another meeting with county principals on this topic today and then gain tomorrow.
We will be getting yard signs for our seniors. We are still working on when these will arrive and where they might be displayed.
Our class advisors are working with the senior class officers to think of other items, ideas, etc that might be something of interest to students.
I know that many seniors are disappointed about prom but local groups including the civic center continue to discuss a possible summer prom if restrictions are lifted.
I hope our seniors know that we want to make things grand for them in order to honor their hard work that has brought them to graduation. The trick will be to pay tribute to them while following the safety guidelines. As you have heard in past parent messages, keeping students safe is a top priority and that is true whether we are inside the school building or while we are out for a school closure.
Please anticipate more information to come for the class of 2020.
Please also continue to remind seniors how special they are and continue to help them find the positives in this unusual and difficult situation.
Thank you and enjoy your day.
